In her first English-speaking role, superstar Latin recording artist/actress Belinda plays Marisol, a rival singer who befriends Chanel with the intention of breaking up The Cheetah Girls, in the sequel to the 2004 TV blockbuster, "The Cheetah Girls 2," a Disney Channel Original Movie.

Born August 15, 1989 in Madrid, Spain, her family relocated to Mexico City when she was age 4. She says she is Spanish from her dad's lineage and French from her mother's family but Mexican by upbringing and heart. Belinda has starred in Spanish-language TV series televised in several countries including the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Guatemala, Ecuador, Bolivia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Spain.

As a young child, she showed a talent for singing, acting, and even directing movies she wrote and recorded on her home video camera. At the age of 10, she starred in her first television show, "Amigos por Siempre" ("Friends Forever"), produced by Televisa. Its soundtrack was released by BMG. Both the show and the album enjoyed great success in many Latin American countries and other parts of the world. By age 11, she starred in "Aventuras en el Tiempo" ("Adventures Through Time") also produced by Televisa. The TV show and its soundtrack were tremendously successful in many countries around the world.
By age 12, she starred in a double role in the hugely popular "Cómplices al Rescate" ("Accomplices to the Rescue") also produced by Televisa with a top-selling soundtrack released by BMG. Belinda played the role of twins -- one poor, the other rich. With each television series, Belinda went on highly successful concert tours, performing in 160 concerts before more than 2 million people.

Just before turning 14, her album titled "Belinda" was released and became a big success in the Hispanic world, selling over 800,000 copies. Her tour "Fiesta en la Azotea" (Rooftop Party) encompassed Belinda in 120 live concerts for more than 1.5 million people.

Among other milestones, Belinda holds the women’s record from the National Auditorium of Mexico — one of the largest auditoriums in the world with a capacity of 10,000 -- having given 12 sold-out concerts there. It was during one of thoseconcerts that her DVD "Fiesta en la Azotea" was taped. It went on to sell more than double platinum.

She closed the tour for her last album with memorable concerts including one in Mexico City’s main square, the Zócalo, where an audience of over 120,000 gathered, and the Coca-Cola concert tour that delivered record audiences.

In addition to Gold and Platinum-selling albums, Belinda has was honored with an MTV Award. She has also collaborated with major sponsors including LG, Office Depot, and Coca-Cola. Every teen in the U.S. with any kind of Latin background is extremely familiar with Belinda.

Belinda’s new album “UTOPIA”, released late last year, has been one of the most successful albums of 2006-2007.
Belinda lives with her parents and her nine-year old brother Nacho.
